Weekly Updates from Fluffy Honey Farm: Alpacas Take a Splash and Farm Tours Begin!

Welcome to our new exciting weekly blog updates at Fluffy Honey Farm! We're thrilled to share the latest updates and happenings from our lovely alpaca haven. From alpacas enjoying their time in the splash pad to the successful launch of our farm tours, there's plenty to be excited about. However, we did encounter a minor setback with our new pasture fencing. Let's dive right in and catch up on all the farm news!

1. Alpacas Discover the Splash Pad:
This week, our adorable alpacas had a delightful first experience in the splash pad. With the summer heat in full swing, we decided to introduce them to this refreshing water play, and they absolutely loved it! The alpacas gleefully frolicked and splashed around, enjoying their newfound aquatic adventure. It's heartwarming to witness their joy and see them cool off during hot days.

2. Farm Tours Begin:
We're excited to announce that our farm tours have officially started and have been met with enthusiasm. Visitors  have been enjoying Fluffy Honey Farm and getting closer look at our beautiful alpacas. It's been a pleasure sharing our passion for these remarkable creatures. The farm tours have been a wonderful success so far, and we can't wait to welcome more visitors in the weeks to come. Each visitor is a blessing to our farm, in supporting our efforts to continue to provide the best care and expand our space to grow our farm into the future. Thank you so much for all of our visitors for your amazing and much appreciated support. 

3. Farm Store Merchandise:
During the farm tours, we are creating a farm store of merchandise that visitors can take with them as a token of remembering the experience they shared with our beloved alpacas. 

- Handmade Crocheted Products: Explore our collection of cozy hats, fingerless gloves, and more to come, expertly crafted from the luxurious alpaca yarn by yours truly! 

- Alpaca Yarn: Knitters and fiber enthusiasts will find exquisite alpaca yarn, available in fun dyed colors This yarn is perfect for creating soft and warm garments. We are hoping to increase our yarn inventory in the coming months especially come September with our very own alpaca's yarn coming back from the mill. We are very excited to finally have our hands on our girls' products. 

- Farm Fresh Eggs: Depending on availability, we offer farm-fresh eggs laid by our happy, free-range chickens. These eggs are a true delight for breakfast or baking. We've received comments from our customers that the yolks are deliciously deep orange and that they are noticeably higher quality for baking. 

- Survival Kits: For the adventurous souls, we have curated survival kits that include alpaca fiber for tinder, ensuring you're well-prepared during outdoor excursions. Finally, we've also added alpaca fiber bird nest material to support local bird populations and their nesting endeavors. 

4. Herd Health Update:
Maintaining the well-being of our alpacas is our top priority. We're pleased to report that our recent herd health check went smoothly, and all our alpacas are healthy and thriving. We are dedicated to our sweet alpacas and ensures they receive proper nutrition, regular veterinary care, and a loving environment to keep them happy and stress-free.

5. Snag in New Pasture Fencing Construction:
While progress is often smooth sailing, we've encountered a minor hurdle during the construction of our new pasture fencing. Unfortunately, the auger we were using broke down, temporarily delaying the completion of the project. Rest assured, man of the hour Michael is actively working to resolve the issue and resume the construction as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
