ALPACAS

 Each alpaca has a unique temperament making it a qualified candidate for therapy and personal affection. Alpaca are often standoffish and curious camelids, often approaching people inquisitively but with great distance. Every so often an alpaca will be raised with affectionate human handling making it friendly and approachable to humans. We choose alpaca for our pastures based on friendly and calm temperament. As we grow in our breeding program we hope to raise aria that are uniquely qualified for therapy services including individual counseling and group counseling services. Research as shown that animals provide a calming effect on individuals. In therapeutic sessions, alpaca can provide reassurance, ease of anxiety and hope for individuals in need of mental health services. 

We recently opened an Etsy shop to help support the cost of our farm with handmade goodies. It would mean a lot to us if you checked out what we have available. Limited supply as I make everything by hand and it takes time between counseling and farm chores.

Our alpacas are chosen for temperament and bred with temperament in mind. Though the grey and appaloosa alpaca are cuties. This is the dream of Ashley, resident LPC, hoping to bring animal therapy to those with attachment traumas and anxiety. Alpaca are a rare animal for therapeutic purposes, however they offer an unmatched benefit.  Alpaca are docile and gentle creatures that require mindfulness and ease of spirit to build bonding. They are quite astute and develop a keen awareness and bond for the humans they trust and recognize.  

We currently have 37 pastured raised chickens, some are still chicks. They lay a lovely array of brown, blue and green eggs.

​We are a small family farm. Raising our family and animals alongside each other. Respecting nature and learning from the land the true meaning of mindfulness.
